The College of the Environment and Ecology (CEE) at Xiamen University (XMU) invites applications for multiple faculty positions at all ranks.

CEE was founded on March 2011. But ecology research and teaching could be dated back to the founding of Xiamen University in 1921, and environmental science was begun in 1982. In 2017 and 2022, the Ecology at Xiamen University was selected as one of the national "double first-class" disciplines for two consecutive rounds. CEE has an excellent research and teaching team represented by the Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences and Foreign Member of Academia Europaea, Cheung Kong Scholar, awardees of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and Excellent Young Scholars, and winner of National Excellent Teacher. CEE possesses high-level scientific research and talent training platforms, including the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science, the National Observation and Research Station for the Taiwan Strait Marine Ecosystem and the Key Laboratory of Coastal and Wetland Ecosystem of the Ministry of Education.

Research Areas of the Open Positions

Applicants from the following priority areas are encouraged to apply: Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecological Engineering (especially ecological and environmental big data analysis, environmental remote sensing, watershed environmental and ecological engineering, etc.)

Qualifications

1.Applicant should have a Ph.D. degree.

2. Applicant should have  excellent record of research performance, good teaching and research skills, and the potential to become an academic leader or pioneer researcher in the field.
